Job 6:14-17

14 “He who awithholds
Syriac, Vulgate (compare Targum); the meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain
kindness from a cfriend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
15My dbrothers are etreacherous as a torrent-bed,
as torrential fstreams that pass away,
16which are dark with ice,
and where the snow hides itself.
17When they melt, they disappear;
when it is hot, they vanish from their place.

Jeremiah 14:3

3Her nobles send their servants for water;
they come to the cisterns;
they find no water;
they return with their vessels empty;
they are gashamed and confounded
and hcover their heads.

Hosea 6:4

Jude 12-13

12These are hidden reefs
Or  are blemishes
oat your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, pshepherds feeding themselves; qwaterless clouds, rswept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, suprooted;
13 twild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of utheir own shame; vwandering stars, wfor whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
